June 2024 - October 2024
Bath’s proposed new Fashion Museum is undergoing a +£30 million redevelopment, led by B&NES Council. Central to the project is the inclusion of hospitality components such as a ground-floor café bar, event spaces, and multi-use facilities designed to enhance the visitor experience while driving revenue.
Scope of Work
• Developed the catering elements for a comprehensive hospitality business case model for the project.
• Modeled multiple financial scenarios, evaluating different operating models for the café bar, functions, and event spaces.
• Provided insight into how the hospitality elements could integrate seamlessly with the museum’s core mission and audience.
Outcomes
• Delivered a detailed financial model that demonstrated how the hospitality elements would contribute to the project’s overall sustainability and success.
• Helped B&NES make informed decisions about investment priorities and potential revenue streams.
Ben worked with Colliers as a catering subconsultant on a museum business planning job this year, June-Oct 2024. Client was Bath & North East Somerset Council who are creating a new Fashion Museum. Ben prepared forecasting for the proposed museum café and event catering operations. Both the team and the client were very impressed with Ben’s knowledge and the work provided, all done in a friendly, collaborative and efficient manner – highly recommended!
